What we knitted into this pair
This neutral gray yarn shows the difference between the flat ground and the raised textured zones more clearly than our darker dyes. We produce this high-rise cut on a circular machine with nylon and spandex. The tubular construction leaves the sides free of vertical seams for yoga or running.
Raised knit structure
The fabric alternates flat knitting with raised three-dimensional zones that sit proud of the base surface. Blending nylon with spandex gives the loops enough spring to stretch in four directions and return when you move.
High rise band
The top of the piece is knitted tall to sit high on the waist. It uses a firm, continuous circular rib designed to stay put without rolling down or sliding down while you bend, stretch, or run.
Seamless sides
We knit the body of these shorts as a continuous tube. Because there is no side seam running down the outer leg, the textured surface continues around the hip without an interrupted stitch line.
Washing and care
Machine wash cold with similar colors and skip the fabric softener, which coats synthetic stretch yarns. Air drying protects the spandex from high dryer heat and keeps the elastic loops springy over time.
